TOUCH, 2018
The exhibition Touch at nGbK (neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst) in Berlin centered on the meaning of “touch” in different contexts: as sensory perception, an expression of empathy, a physical assault, a healing technique, or a gesture in computer technology.
We developed a system, in which the type reacted to the added finger prints and was displaced. This resulted in intriguing compositions between text and image. The system was also used on the exhibition reader and floor plan.
One side of the foldable poster was printed positive and on the other side negative. For printing we used a Pantone Reflex Blue, which created the impression of forensic fingerprints and fingerprints on screens.
The curatorial team consisting of Bakri Bakhit, Nadja Quante and Anna Voswinckel invited artists who showed contradictions in society through the concept of touch. The participating artist where Sarah Browne, Ruth Buchanan, Andrea Büttner, Cevdet Erek, Emma Haugh, Christin Kaiser, Robin Kirchner, Stephanie Kiwitt, Luise Marchand, Florian Meisenberg, Julien Prévieux, Barbara Proschak, Grazyna Roguski, Anike Joyce Sadiq and Maja Zimmermann.
